If you are taking regular prescribed medication, you may be asked to attend the surgery for a 'long term condition review' These reviews include:
Different reviews require different investigations, for example. Diabetes requires blood tests to be taken at least a week before whereas an Asthma review could just mean filling out an Asthma control test.
These reviews will correlate with your birthday. The reviews are to ensure that your condition is controlled and that your medication is safe and effective.
When booking a 'private' service please ask and verify the price before you book an appointment. We follow the pricing recommendations of the British Medical Association.
We are pleased to offer a comphrehensive foreign travel advisory service which includes the supply and administration of most of the vaccines, medications and health related advice you will need for your travel plans. If you are travelling abroad please make an appointment with one of our nurses who will be able to access up to date advice and information on the vaccinations you require for the part of the world you are travelling to. Remember to book well in advance of your trip so that there is ample time to give you your full course of injections. There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:
It is important to make the initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.

You do not require a doctor's sickness certificate for any illness lasting seven days or less. Your employer may however require you to complete a self-certification form (SC2) which is available from your employer or at our reception or on the HMRC website.
For any illness lasting longer than seven days you will need to see the doctor for him/her to issue a sickness certificate (F.med3) and for any subsequent renewal of the certificate. If your employer insists on a sickness certificate for 7 days or less a charge will be levied.
